Karla focuses her practice on corporate matters as well as new technologies, intellectual property and telecommunications law.

Relevant Transactions: (i) acquisition of renal care centers by Diaverum UK (2012-2013), (ii) acquisition of Portalinmobiliario by Mercado Libre (2014), ), (iii) advised Kaszek Ventures in financing rounds for Fintual (2020) and Phage Technologies (2021), (iv) Advising Ascenty Chile SpA in the granting of a syndicated loan by Natixis, MUFG and The Bank of Nova Scotia (2023); (v) Advising Sucden Chile SpA in the granting of a line of credit for a financing granted by Rabobank (2023), among others.

Karla also stands out for her support in intellectual property licensing compliance, advising since 2020 Autodesk, a worldwide recognized software company, in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Recognized by The Legal 500 Latin America 2025 in TMT (Leading Associate).

Karla formerly was an associate lawyer at Magliona Abogados between 2010 and 2014, rejoining in 2020.

From 2014 to April 2017, she was an attorney advisor at Ministry of the General Secretariat of the Presidency in the Modernization and Digital Government Unit.

From April 2017 to April 2018, she was Strategic Account Manager at Cognitiva IBM Watson Strategic Partner and during 2018 she worked as legal advisor at Microsoft Chile.
